Mercury in Cancer is highly emotional. Thoughts can become connected with memories and past experiences, while criticism can be taken more personally than intended. Cancer also has a tendency to hold onto the past, which becomes particularly significant when Mercury itself is moving backwards.

Old conversations can return during this period. Family matters, decisions concerning the home or something that happened in the past can require another discussion. There can be a temptation to react emotionally before all of the information has been considered.

On 26 June Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini. This is an important change because Gemini is one of the Zodiac signs ruled by Mercury.
